Characterization equipment
To analyze and characterize the working surfaces of tribological elements, we use numerous visualization and measurement techniques: scanning electron and optic microscopy, mechanical and optic profilometry, wettability and microhardness testing.

Test rigs
Because the interaction of surfaces in contact depends on many different parameters, we tend to run rational experiments, in which we model the working conditions as close as possible to reality, using custom test rigs we build in the lab.

Sample preparation and surface modification tools
To allow for on-the-fly correction and fabrication of samples, holders and other secondary parts essential for routine experimental work and custom test rig modifications, we use various mechanical tools and surface engineering techniques, including abrasive and cold working processes.
